One thing that I shall say is that, to echo the user [maven], “If the default opacity isn’t adjustable I’m gonna kick Steve’s shin the next time I see him at lunch!”

So I was partly wrong, then, in hoping that Mac OS X will differentiate itself from Windows Vista by featuring less similar look (ie. more opaque vs. more transparent, white vs. black).

Those Web 2.0 styled drop shadow reflections on the dock—I’m still deciding what my opinion will be. UPDATE: my opinion now reads “I feel that the said shadow is more of a gratuitous embellishment than subtle, pleasant design touch
